Let's face it though, when someone picks up a book or turns on their e-reader they want to be entertained, engrossed, enthralled. Reading should not be a chore. The story should stimulate the imagination. If it doesn't it won't be read. Rod Jamie Paul's career in public service produces many words, none with the intention of entertaining. Attempting to redress the balance is invigorating, refreshing, challenging and fun. Rod is spending a career in education, international development and public service reform. He has travelled to many countries, lived in Canada, Papua New Guinea and currently Southport, North West England. His writing is informed by locations, events and the people he meets, past and present. Many linger and demand characterisation. |
